Engineered Wood (Melamine board/MDF/ Veneered Tops):

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
  • Any spillages to be wiped with dry cloth immediately.
  • Never apply the cleaning agent or water directly engineered wood surface. Instead, apply the cleaning agent only to the cleaning cloth and then wipe over the surface.
  • Use clean, soft and dry cloth to remove dust.
  • Use your furniture indoors and in a dry environment. Exposing it to water, moisture-prone areas and varying humidity levels might cause the board to warp or bend
  • Keep the furniture in well-ventilated place. A place without ventilation and high humidity can lead to material deterioration and can lead to fungus growth.
  • Do not drag the furniture in assembled condition and with load on it. Dragging the furniture with load on it will lead to weakening of joints.
  • In case of stain, please use a stain remover on a piece of cloth and then try it on a small area. Once you see good results you may then proceed with rest of the area using the cloth.

Solid wood (Seesham/ Rubber wood /Teak etc,.):

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times. With extended exposure, sunrays can create hairline cracks in the finish or cause fading, yellowing, or darkening.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
  • Any spillages to be wiped with dry cloth immediately.
  • Avoid exposing your furniture to direct airflow from air conditioners.
  • Dust regularly using a soft, clean cloth. Use a dry (preferably cotton) cloth, if necessary, to remove any moisture from the surface.
  • You may also use slightly dampened cloth with water and mild soap solution and wipe in the direction of the grain and make sure to dry those components completely. Never wipe across grain as it can create rub marks and removing them sometimes can be very difficult.
  • Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Avoid placing hot objects/utensils on the wood surface directly, use mats or coasters as protective layers. This way the surface and the wood will last long.
  • It is suggested to use a coat of rubbing with wax / oil or any suitable material can be used to make the furniture look new and fresh. Pl consult a professional before you decide to go ahead.

Upholstered items: (Sofa, cushions, seats made from Fabric/Leatherette etc.)

  • Once you begin using an upholstered item, you can expect its appearance to change over time. These changes are considered as normal wear.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can damage fibers and cause fabrics and leathers to fade. Position your furniture away from direct sunlight.
  • It’s important to engage a professional furniture cleaning agency when upholstery reaches an overall soiled condition.
  • Keep the upholstered furniture in well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure damp and humid conditions as it will have effect on raw materials and can lead to faster deterioration, thus reducing the life of the furniture.
  • Avoid exposing your furniture to direct airflow from air conditioners.
  • Remove dust regularly to prevent soiling and abrasion, vacuuming can help, a home vacuum cleaner fitted with an upholstery cleaning tool attachment.
  • Periodically wipe with a soft and dry cloth to clean. Do not use detergents or any abrasive materials to clean any woven part. If there is any splitting or stitch protrusion, please use a scissor to cut and make sure you never pull the stitches by hand.
  • Treat spills and accidents immediately. Quick action is essential to prevent permanent damage. Spots and stains from liquid spills can be prevented if immediate steps are taken to absorb the staining materials. Use a upholstery cleaning shampoo on the piece of clean cloth, try on small area in a circular motion and then proceed with the rest of area when the results are encouraging.
  • Make sure to avoid children jumping on the sofas.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface. Also avoid using hot objects to come in contact with upholstery material.
  • In case of shifting, please lift the sofa and not pull, Pulling might result is damages of stitching. Also never pull or hold the stitching joint areas.

Leather Upholstery: (leather sofas, seats, cushions etc.)

  • Avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause leather to fade. Heat can age leather prematurely and may cause it to crack.
  • Avoid extreme temperature variations. Do not place your leather sofas/upholstery close to heating or air conditioning outlets. Extreme temperature variations can damage leather. Heat can age leather prematurely and may cause it to crack.
  • Avoid exposing your furniture to direct airflow from air conditioners.

  • Leather will have a protective top coat. The use of any household substances will break down this protective top coat over time. Do not use wet wipes, household cleaners, soaps, solvents, water, alcohol etc.

Glass /Ceramic:

  • As regular practice, dusting is required to make sure glass appears clean. Use soft cloth to remove the dust.
  • Use a soft cloth along with a mild dishwashing detergent and water, spray or apply with hands. Repeat to avoid streaking.
  • Use lint-free microfiber for cleaning with good results.
  • Do not place hot objects on the surface, use a protect layer such as pads, coasters, table mats etc.
  • Do not drop any sharp and heavy objects on the glass.

Plastic:

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times. Prolonged exposure can result in fading of color and can make the plastic brittle.
  • Avoid exposing plastic parts to direct airflow from air conditioners.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
  • Any spillages to be wiped with dry cloth immediately.

Mattress (Foam/Coir/ Spring):

  • Our mattresses are designed with extra cushioning which we consider as optimum, this gives you greater comfort over a period of time. You will notice some small indentations within the first few weeks of use which is normal.
  • Do not bend or fold the mattress.
  • Do not place the bed near heaters/flame and for sure do not smoke in bed.
  • Rotate the mattress regularly, this will extend the life of mattress.
  • Use a waterproof mattress protector, spillages, dust, sweat can be avoided and this will keep the mattress fresh and lasts long.
  • Vacuum the mattress once in 6 months at least.
  • Wash the bedspread used on the mattress so that the dust does not settle down.
  • Use an even and strong bed base to keep your mattress in good shape and prevent sagging and drooping

Recliners: (Manual and Electric)

  • Recliner sofas without handles (Manual), please put gentle pressure on the arms and shifting of the body weight as this enable operating of sofa.
  • For Manual recliners more pressure may be required when the mechanism is new. Operation will become easier as the mechanism works through its break-in period.
  • For electric recliners, keep openings clear, and keep hands away from openings. Avoid dropping objects into openings.
  • Keep liquids away from all electric parts.
  • Unplug the recliner from outlet when not in use and before removing.
  • If the plug or cord appears damaged, do not operate the recliner, pl contact customer care or seek help from professional.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
  • Keep the furniture in well-ventilated place.
  • Use your recliners in indoors and in a dry environment. Exposing it to water, moisture-prone areas can lead to damages to the product.

Chairs: (High, Medium and Low back)

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times.
  • Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
  • Keep the furniture in well-ventilated place.
  • Wipe surface with a soft and clean cloth. For cleaning surfaces with leatherette, plastic and metal use fabric with mildly soaked in mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
  • Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

GENERAL WARRANTY INFORMATION.

  • Sofa - 10 years for wooden structure.
  • 3 years for fabric.
  • 1 year for PVC upholstery
  • 1 year for foam and cushioning
  • 1 year for genuine leather
  • 1 year for recliner mechanism.
  • 1 year for stitching.
  • Depending on the usage, the shape and form of sofas may change and this does not qualify as defect.

Furniture

  • 3 years for furniture made from melamine particle boards/MDF boards.

Spring mattresses

  • 15 years for spring structure, 5 years for cushion sheets.

Other mattresses

  • 2 years is applicable for foam & coir mattress.

Office chairs

  • 2 Year warranty is provided for chairs.

Plastic furniture

  • 1 year warranty is provided for all plastic furniture.

Solid wood furniture

  • 1 year for wooden sofas, beds, dining tables, chairs, coffee tables, side units, TV units, nesting tables made out of solid wood.

Steel/Glass furniture

  • 1 year warranty for steel furniture that are not electroplated. No warranty of electroplated items. Glass items does not carry warranty.

WHAT IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

  • Any defects arising due to manufacturing, faulty workmanship and defects in the materials.
  • Furniture used under normal house hold conditions.
  • The manufacturing defects within the warranty period would be rectified free of charge. Beyond the warranty period, the parts would be replaced or rectified on chargeable basis.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

  • Mattresses / mattress covers which are exposed to wet condition/ spillages / Urine.
  • Particle board / MDF boards furniture which are exposed to water and dampness.
  • Cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
  • Products that have been used inappropriately, or cleaned using the wrong cleaning methods.
  • Damage due to misuse and tampering.
  • Breakage due to shifting of furniture in assembled condition.
  • Damages caused due to negligence due to spilling of solvents, dyes, corrosive materials and bodily fluids such as sweat, urine etc.
  • Solid wood furniture, due to seasonal change, wooden members tend to behave and this is a natural phenomenon, due to this phenomenon, the wood tends to expand and contract and thus leading to joint splits and hairline cracks. This is not any defect and does not come under warranty.

OTHER CONDITIONS

Assembly will be done at free of cost at the first instance, any further services such as dismantling and re assembling shall be done on chargeable basis. Please ensure the product you select fits into the door ways, lift and so on. DAMRO shall not be responsible incase the product does not fit into the doorways, lifts etc,. Also make sure to select the right color and style that suit your home.
