Code of Ethics

This Code of Ethics (hereinafter referred to as the “Ethical Code”) is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and rules/regulations made thereunder as applicable and for the time being in force concerning to electronic records. This Ethical Code is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signature. This Ethical Code is published following the requirements of Rule 3 of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 read with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 which requires publishing the rules and/or regulations for access or usage of www.damroindia.com website.

Tamil Nadu,600040, India, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as “Damro”, “Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the e-commerce website www.damroindia.com  or any successor site or its related domains, sub-domains, sites, services, and tools, etc.,  by whatever name called (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”). www.damroindia.com is provided by the Company as a service to the general public (hereinafter referred to as the “User” or “You”) and is intended to allow users to browse and order online the products (i.e., goods or services) offered for sale on the Website (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”). 

DAMRO Code of Ethics 

Our Core Principles: we do not transmit or publish or exhibit any content which is prohibited under any law for the time being in force or has been prohibited by any Court of competent jurisdiction. 
We take into consideration the following factors, when deciding to feature or transmit or publish or exhibit any content, after duly considering the implications of any content as failing under the following categories, and shall exercise due caution and discretion in the relation to the same, viz., 

  1. content which affects the sovereignty and integrity of India;
  2. content which threatens, endangers or jeoparadises the security of the State;
  3. content which is detrimental to India’s friendly relations with foreign countries; and
  4. content which is likely to incite violence or disturb the maintenance of public order.

We also take into consideration India’s multi-racial and multi-religious context and exercise due caution and discretion when featuring the activities, beliefs, practices, or views of any racial or religious group.

Content Classification: all content transmitted or published or exhibited by us are suitable for children as well as people of all ages. 
Psychotropic substances, liquor, smoking, and tobacco: we are committed not to portray any use/misuse of psychotropic substances, liquor, smoking and tobacco. 

Portrayal of Criminal or violent behaviour: we do not portray or permit to portray any criminal and/or violent behaviour with or without weapons. We also d not portray potentially dangerous behaviour that is likely to incite the commission of any offence including but not limited to suicide, and inflection of self-harm and that children and young people may potentially copy.
